Backa Palanka to get General Regulation Plan soon

Backa Palanka will soon get the General Regulation Plan, which determines a long-term projection of development and spatial regulation of the city. The plan covers an area of a total of 2,770 ha, almost 2,000 ha of which is building land.

Spatial units (the purpose of surfaces) have also been determined, along with the rules of construction and regulation, infrastructure routes and corridors, zones that require the adoption of a detailed regulation plan, locations for which a city planning project is being prepared, as well as parts of settlements for which the solutions will be sought in an open competition.

Of about 2,000 ha of building land, about 600 ha are intended for the construction of residential space, 400 ha for work zones, 300 ha for tourism, sports and recreation, while 290 ha are intended for traffic areas and facilities. Public institutions (health centers, kids institutions, schools), public utility facilities (markets, cemeteries), religious facilities, a port, the Danube river and other surfaces envisaged by the plan occupy the remaining 400 ha.

The proof of the importance and significance of that plan, which is being made by public companies, the City Planning Institute of Vojvodina and the Directorate for Municipal Development, is the fact that that theme will be the only item on the agenda of the next session of the municipal assembly later this week.
