Special terms of exchange of goods with Kosovo from January 1

The Government of Serbia has adopted the Regulation on special terms of the exchange of goods with the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohia (APKM), which becomes effective on January 1, 2011.

According to that regulation, the foreign goods that are sent and delivered, that is, the goods in transit across the territory of Kosovo to the territory of the Republic of Serbia outside Kosovo, cannot cross the administrative line to enter the territory of the Republic of Serbia unless they are declared to the competent customs office on international border crossings – Presevo and Prohor Pcinjski.

The postal packages from the territory of Kosovo should be declared at the customs control point and sent to the Customhouse in Nis – Customs office Post office Nis. The air mail from the territory of APKM is forwarded to the Customhouse in Belgrade – Customs office Airport Belgrade.

The foreign goods delivered from the territory of Kosovo to the territory of Serbia outside APKM are subject to duties, other import taxes, excise taxes and value added tax in accordance with the regulations.
