Annual real GDP growth rate of Serbia in the first quarter 4.4%

The real growth rate of Serbia's gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period last year, amounted to 4.4%, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia
announced yesterday. Compared to the previous quarter, the decline in GDP was 0.5%.


Observed by activities, in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period last year, significant real growth in gross value added was recorded in the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, transport and storage and accommodation and food services (11% ) and in the sector of industry, water supply and wastewater management (1.9%).

A significant real gross value added decline has been recorded in the construction sector (5.3%).
