- With the successful commencement of work of the biggest refinery unit for production of gasoline and gasoline components (fluid catalytic cracking complex - FCC), the overhaul in Oil refinery Pancevo, worth 5 million euros, was finished yesterday in accordance with the plan - people at the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) stated.
The overhaul in the Pancevo-based refinery lasted for 45 days and its volume of works makes it the biggest overhaul ever since oil refining started in Pancevo, reads the statement.
The overhaul was done on the two largest primary units, the atmosphere and vacuum distillation units, as well as on a whole series of secondary units within the FCC complex, a boiler in the refinery power plant and ten reservoirs in the organizational unit Manipulacija.
The overhaul also included the first phase of reconstruction of the largest refinery unit for production of gasoline and gasoline components, which represents a significant ecological investment, worth over EUR 14m, which will, once it is finished in mid-2011, solve the problem of emission of powder matters into the atmosphere.
The overhaul and reconstruction of Oil refinery Pancevo ran parallel to the modernization of the hydrocracking complex, reads the statement.
