Celebration of 30th Anniversary of Milenijum Osiguranje

• Veljkovic: The results speak for themselves

Belgrade, May 19, 2022 – Milenijum Osiguranje a.d.o, one of the oldest insurance companies and the first privately owned insurance company in Serbia, has marked its 30th anniversary in the presence of numerous guests, partners and friends of the company. The celebration was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Croatia in Serbia, led by Ambassador Hidajet Biscevic.

Milenijum Osiguranje was founded in 1992 and, since then, through a continuous development and following of the needs of the market and insures, it has been providing the best quality services in the domain of non-life insurance.

The president of the Executive Board of Milenijum Osiguranje, Ljubisa Veljkovic, congratulated the 30th anniversary of the company to all employees, partners and clients and pointed out that Milenijum Osiguranje had a precise development strategy of being a leader in providing quality services in the insurance market through persistent and dedicated work.

– In the past 30 years, we have gone through numerous exciting moments, and by focusing on our goal, we have managed to position ourselves as an insurance company which honors the highest standards in insurance affairs. Thanks to the hard work of our experts, as a company, we have realized a continuous growth and will continue down that path, because we are sure that we have not yet realized our full potential and that we have room for further development – Veljkovic said and added that satisfied users recognized the quality of the services of Milenijum Osiguranje, which they confirmed every day: – Also, the support that we get on our path of further development from our shareholders and partners outside Serbia is extremely important to us – Veljkovic said.

– This anniversary places Milenijum Osiguranje among the longest-lasting insurance companies in Serbia and obliges us to continue implementing high ethical and professional standards on which we place great value at our company – Veljkovic added and commented that the company’s results spoke for themselves, expressing his wish for the future anniversaries to be marked with an even greater success.

Today, Milenijum Osiguranje employs around 500 people, who work in the network of branch offices throughout Serbia. In the past ten years, since the previous jubilee, Milenijum Osiguranje has increased its premium three times, its assets around four times, the capital and the reserves have nearly quadrupled, whereas the technical reserves have increased over three and a half times. In 2021, around 300,000 insurance policies were signed.

In addition to Veljkovic, the attendees were also addressed by Robert Vuckovic, the president of the Supervisory Board of Milenijum Osiguranje, as well as Davor Tomaskovic, the president of the Management of Croatia Osiguranje, on behalf of Adris Grupa, one of the leading regional companies, whose members include Croatia Osiguranje and Milenijum Osiguranje.

Milenijum Osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd was founded in 1992 as “DDOR Stankom Osiguranje”. In 2001, the company was renamed as Milenijum Osiguranje a.d.o. As a safe and desirable investment, Milenijum Osiguranje a.d.o. became the first local insurance company in which foreign capital entered with a majority share – the Croatian insurance company Croatia Osiguranje d.d. became the owner of 99.78% of the share capital in 2003, and in early 2017, it became the owner of the entire 100% of the share capital of Milenijum Osiguranje a.d.o.
