Zeljeznice RS to Transport Coal from Prijedor for Elektroprivreda Srbije?

The operating meeting where the details of the new transport of coal from Republika Srpska to the Republic of Serbia was held in Doboj to the end of defining the future protocol between members of the management of Zeljeznice RS (Republika Srpska Railways) and representatives of Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), the state company for the rail transport of goods Serbia Cargo from Serbia and the company Lager from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljeznice RS announced.

Determining the potential routes of transport, the quantities, the manner of dispatching, as well as the capacities and types of rail cars and other technical details were considered and harmonized in order for the transport of coal from Prijedor to Serbia to be realized and defined by a contract in the next period.

Regulating a precise execution of the future transport is one of the high priorities of Zeljeznice RS as part of its efforts and contributions toward the expansion and development of regional cooperation, with the intention of active participation in the stabilization of the energy situation in the region and the continuation of an unobstructed and continuous operations of the power plants in the area, says the press release of Zeljeznice RS.
