Burek became trademark – Burek "leaves for" Germany

Burek (type of pastry) with cheese and meat produced in the bakeries "Carina" and "Demetra" from Prokuplje, of which owners are Dragiša Milovanović and Dragan Ristić, became the protected export brand by the decision of the Intellectual Property Institute. In that way, company "Hamenum internacional", of which owners are the afforementioned citizens of Prokuplje, realized exclusive right to export of Burek. That means that no other company will be able to export Burek.

Company "Hamenum internacional", which was founded for the purpose of export of Burek to the market of Germany, i.e. Munich, produced 3.5 tons of Burek with meat and cheese at the end of the last year. This quantity was sold out to the people from our country who work in Germany. Therefore, the new export of 25 tons of Burek will take place prior to the end of January.

For the sake of provision of the remaining documentation needed for export of Burek, Prokuplje-based company obtained the agreement from the Board for Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture on preparation of Burek with the most quality beef. The manufacturers of Burek from Prokuplje expects growth in export of Burek with cheese and meat in the following period.
