- Vranje-based footwear manufacturer Minex is going to open a new plant in Vladicin Han - Zoran Stojiljkovic, the company's owner, announced for eKapija. He said that adaptation of the facility was underway and that the machines and other auxiliary equipment had already been procured. People at the company in Vranje expect that the trial production of footwear will start in April 2011.

- The new plant will employ 55 people. Our aim is to expand the technological line for production of the existing product, that is, to complete the process of production of ready-made footwear, introduction of a contemporary equipment and conquering of new markets - said Stojiljkovic.

Vranje-based Minex, which has 82 employees, produces upper parts of footwear (for men, women and children), as well as ready-made footwear, that is, models whose upper parts are sewed to the sole.

Stojiljkovic says that Minex has been working for foreign partners from Italy since it was founded and that they started working for domestic partners in 2010. One of the company's biggest foreign partners is NeroGiardini.
