At the opening of the Car Show in Belgrade, he responded to a question by the press about whether the decision on stopping the Jadar Project was wrong, considering that the fair showed a large number of electric cars which used lithium batteries, by saying that “there is no continuation of the Jadar Project for now”.
“Every time I mention it, they say ‘aha, Serbia is getting ready to swindle someone’”, Vucic said.
He added that “nobody is preparing to swindle anybody, but they shouldn’t take away the right to think and have a brain”.
Vucic said that there had been 25,000 in the Loznica area before and that there were only 6,000, or 7,000 at the most at that moment and that he wondered “how many will remain in a year or two to three years”.
– If we had done things differently, we could have had 150,000 or 200,000 residents in the entire Loznica in seven or eight to ten years. However, we’ll leave regrets for some other time and go and do some other things now – Vucic said.
