In the upcoming days, expert teams of the two chambers of commerce will analyze the problems of the long delays of trucks at the border checkpoints between Serbia and Croatia in order to accelerate the trade between companies in the region, which is especially important in the context of the current crisis in Ukraine.
The presidents of the Serbian and Croatian chambers talked at the meeting in Zagreb about the possibilities of establishing 24/7 work hours for all border and inspection services of both states, as well as the possibility of establishing a joint railway station in Vinkovci, where border controls would be done on both sides.
The data show that, in 2021, the goods exchange between Serbia and Croatia, which is the 14th biggest external trade partner of Serbia, amounted to EUR 1.337 billion, which is an increase by EUR 268.3 million, that is, around 25% more compared to 2020, the CCIS announced.
