New tender for rental of beaches around Ohrid lake

The Macedonian Ministry of Transport should announce a tender for the allotment of concessions for the beaches around Ohrid lake this month. According to the words of Minister Mile Janakieski, the Ministry plans to conclude all concession contracts for the beaches prior to May 2011 and, thus, be ready for the beginning of the tourist season.

Janakieski expects all beaches around Ohrid lake to be run in accordance with the concluded lease contracts already in spring 2011.

- The Beach Lease Commission has thoroughly inspected the beaches in partnership with the Ministry of Environment. On that occasion, certain flaws have been noticed, which must be removed by future concessionaires - Janakieski explained.
