In the period between January and March, around RSD 500 billion was collected in tax revenues, which is an increase by over 12%, said the director of the Tax Administration, Dragana Markovic, in an interview for RTS. She believes that the positive trend of tax collection will continue in 2022.

According to her, for all those who are not connected through new fiscal devices by May 1, sanctions are to follow, from fines, offense proceedings, to measures of closing.

Let us remind that the Ministry of Finance portal says that, in line with the Law on Fiscalization, all fiscalization subjects are given a deadline of April 30, 2022, to switch to the model of e-fiscalization which entails the use of a new hardware or software solution.

In line with that, it is necessary, beginning with May 1, 2022, for the subjects to issue new fiscal bills with a QR code, in order to keep working in line with the Law on Fiscalization. Otherwise, they will be subject to penalties, all in line with said law, according to the portal of the Ministry of Finance.

It is once again noted that fiscalization subjects are obliged to first register the business premise locations through the Tax Administration portal “ePorezi”, and then the authorized persons need to request, through the electronic service for fiscalization, the preparation of the security elements for the TIN and the business premises they’ve registered.

It is important for the subject to order the security element when they are ready for e-fiscalization, that is, when they know which fiscal device they will use, says the ministry’s website.

The new e-fiscalization system brings numerous advantages for the state and the economy, because it suppresses unfair competition and enables a more efficient struggle against the shadow economy, facilitates business operations, reduces costs in the long term, removes unnecessary administrative procedures and creates a better business environment.
