Belgrade’s electronic weekly magazine www.Energyobserver.com announced that American company Shevron had seriously taken into consideration the possibility of joining financing of construction of Pan-European oil line from Romanian port of Konstanza, via Serbia and Croatia, to Trieste.
According to that magazine, the construction of oil line 1,300 km long will cost, by rough estimate, about 2 billion USD. According to the unofficial information provided by Energyobserver, the projected capacity of the oil line should be about 60 million tons, but it will depend mainly on the supply and demand. The company employs 65,000 workers. According to Energyobserver, in addition to share in oil business, Shevron has share in the facilities for production of chemicals and electric power.
