Ministry of Health Signs Agreement on Procurement of 190 Modern Diagnostics Devices Worth EUR 48 Million

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has announced that it has signed an agreement on the procurement of 190 most modern CT scanners and digital X-ray devices for 167 health institutions in Serbia, worth close to EUR 48 million.


The announcement says that 135 most modern digital X-ray devices will be installed in 120 health institutions, 65 health centers and 55 hospitals in the next three months.

Furthermore, a total of 55 most modern CT scanners, with two or three working stations, made by renowned world producers, will start working in 47 hospitals, with a previous education of health workers for the usage of the most advanced possibilities of these diagnostics.

The procurement of the diagnostics equipment was carried out in line with the procedures and under the supervision of the World Bank, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

The contract value of the procurement of the X-ray devices is EUR 17,992,398, including the construction works which amount to EUR 7,674,940, whereas the contract value of the procurement of the CT devices is EUR 29,887,772, including construction works which amount to EUR 4,305,994, the ministry adds in its press release.
