General Plan of Kragujevac until 2015 adopted, invitation to concessionaires for Kragujevac-Batočina highway

General City Plan (GUP) of Kragujevac until 2015, adopted by representatives of City Parliament, determines directions of development and construction of city towards Lepenički Boulevard, Industrial Zone and Batočina. New plan implies compulsory construction of office space on the ground floor of apartment buildings that will be built in the future.

GUP of Kragujevac was designed according to estimates that the city will have 195,000 citizens in ten years and that its development and construction will require over 7,000 hectares. This plan stipulates expansion of space for construction of industrial zone, detailed design of regulation plan for city center "Prodor", reorganization of location on which Public Utility Company "Gradsko zelenilo" is now located for the sake of construction of apartment buildings and expansion of university complex.

The representatives of City Parliament of Kragujevac made the decision that concessionaires should be found for allotment of concessions for construction of Kragujevac-Batočina highway, which would connect central city of Šumadija, in accordance with European standards, with international corridor 10. The final decision on this issue will be made by the Government of Serbia.
