At the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), a meeting was held with the leading exporters of fruit to the Russian Federation, where the possibilities of increasing the exports to other markets, such as the countries of Northern Africa, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India and the Far East, were considered.

– Due to the crisis in Ukraine, our producers of apples, strawberries, cherries and sour cherries, which are mostly exported to the EU and the Russian market, are in a great problem due to the uncertainty and unpredictability of the business activities. One of the proposals is to consider an increased export to the Gulf market, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, but also some distant markets, such as India – pointed out Mihailo Vesovic, the director of the Sector for Strategic Analyses, Services and Internationalization of the CCIS.

He reminded that the network of the chamber’s representations in the world was available as well and that they could help find new business partners, according to the website of the CCIS.

– The chamber will analyze the current situation, the quantities we have at our disposal and the needs of some new potential markets, so as to find new customers – Vesovic added.
