Year-on-Year Inflation in Serbia in February at 8.8%, Month-on-Month at 1.1%

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in February 2022 in relation to January 2022 increased by 1.1% on average, and consumer prices in February 2022 increased by 8.8% in relation to February 2021, as announced by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.


Consumer prices in February 2022 in relation to December 2021 increased by 1.9%, on average. Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in February 2022 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.6%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.0%), Transport (1.6%), Health (1.2%), Restaurants and hotels (0.6%), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.4%) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.2%).

Decrease of prices was noted in the group Clothing and footwear (-1.2%).
