GDP Growth of Over 4% Recorded in January, Potentially at 4.5% This Year?

The Council for Coordination of Measures for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth announced that the growth of the gross domestic product in January was over 4% and that we were on the way to continue to achieve a growth of 4.5% in 2022.

It was stated at the session, which was chaired by the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, that the supply chain in Serbia was functioning regularly and that in the preceding two days, compared to the previous weekend, there had been a decrease in demand for basic foodstuffs by an average of 20%.

It is estimated that there is enough wheat, flour and corn for domestic needs, that the market supply of edible oil is stable, that factories have sufficient quantities of oil and that no significant disturbances are expected for now.

The supply of all types of oil derivatives is regular and stable, and there are all types of motor fuels at gas stations and sales are going smoothly.

The gas market is also stable, as is the electricity supply, the announcement says.
