The new electronic services of the ministry, along with the existing 29 services for the economy, which were implemented earlier through the ePapir program on the eUprava portal, are only the first step toward the availability of the public administration through electronic communication and the obtaining of permits and licenses in a simple and quick way.
The minister of environmental protection of Serbia, Irena Vujovic, said that the digitization of the administrative procedures facilitated and enabled, to business people in Serbia, a quicker and cheaper filing of requests and obtaining of permits and licenses issued by the ministry.
– It is extremely important to put the public administration in the service of each citizen and each company and for queuing at counters to no longer be mandatory for either the citizens or the economy – Vujovic said.
She said that, by the end of the year, the ministry would be able to provide other services in an electronic form as well and emphasized that the priority was to digitize administrative procedures and services in the field of “Green Agenda”.
The director of the Office for IT and eGovernment of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mihailo Jovanovic, said that the Ministry of Environmental Protection was one of the first ministries to dedicate itself to the digitization of all the services it provides to the citizens and the economy.
– From today, we can use the first 13 digitized procedures/services for the economy in the field of environmental protection. By digitizing these procedures, we are facilitating and enabling, to nearly 2,250 business subjects in Serbia, a cheaper and quicker filing of requests and obtaining permits and licenses issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection – said Jovanovic.
The first digitized administrative procedures of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, among others, include the issuing of permits and the changing of permits for the export/import of protected species of wild flora, fauna and fungi, fluorinated gases with the greenhouse effect, as well as products and/or equipment containing fluorinated gases with the greenhouse effect.
The list of the digitized procedures of the Ministry of Environmental Protection can be seen here.
