The peripheral part of Kikinda could soon become its second center with the construction of the retail park. The local parliament unanimously decided to issue a decree on the expropriation of the cadastral parcel in Districka Street.
- It covers an approximate area of six hectares and is located in block 9, a complex that is intended for sports, recreation and service activities - says the member of the City Council in charge of economy and investments Sasa Tanackov.
In the conversation with potential investors, one of the key points was a new cinema in the retail park, seeing as cinemas in Kikinda have been closed for years. Additionally, the development of the, until recently, neglected part of the city will continue.
Besides shops and cinema, the plan also calls for children's playroom, restaurants and cafes. In addition to attracting customers, the retail park should also bring new jobs for the people of Kikinda.
