Deadline for Payment of Property Tax in Serbia Expires Today

The deadline for the payment of the first installment of this year’s property tax in Serbia expires today.

The first installment of the property tax is paid in the amount of the final last year’s installment, because the Tax Administration is yet to submit the decision on this year’s tax.

The tax is paid by citizens, entrepreneurs and legal entities and collected by local self-governments.

The property tax is paid in four annual installments, within 45 days of the beginning of a quarter.

Default interest is paid in case the tax payment is late, at an annual rate of 11%.
