Ekstra-pet Acquires Voda Vrnjci for RSD 4,800 per Share

The Republic of Serbia Securities Commission has approved the takeover bid for the shares of Voda Vrnjci by the majority owner, the company Ekstra-pet, at a price of RSD 4,800 per share, the brokerage house Momentum announced.

– The offer to the minority shareholders, which own 11.8% shares, has been made at a price of RSD 4,800, which is identical to the price that Ekstra-pet paid in several big transactions in mid-December last year – the press release says.

It is added that the book value of a share is RSD 13,428.68, but that it wasn’t relevant to the bid, because, as per the already usual practice at the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the share got the status of a liquid share in the period immediately prior to the beginning of the consolidation of ownership.

The bid price of RSD 4,800, which remains valid until March 7, comprises only 35.7% of the book value of this share, whereas the company’s market capitalization is RSD 551 million (EUR 4.7 million).

In the pandemic year of 2020, Voda Vrnjci reported a loss of RSD 68.9 million, whereas the income lowered 17.5% to RSD 922.6 million.
