Prices of Taxi Services in Belgrade to Increase

The taxi services in Belgrade are to increase from Monday, February 14, as Aleksandar Bijelic, the president of the Association of Taxi Drivers of Serbia (SATUS), confirmed for Blic.

According to him, the decision on the new prices of the services of passenger taxi transport in Belgrade has been signed, and the new prices come into effect on February 14.

He also adds that he sees no needs for the announced protests, because he believes that this is not the state’s fault, but the fault of those who have not filed any requests for ten years. He practically means himself, and he has stated as much on several occasions before.

The decision, viewed by Blic, defines the following prices of taxi services:

– The beginning of the ride, for all three tariffs, costs RSD 250 (up from RSD 170).
– Per kilometer, the price for Tariff 1 is RSD 73 (up from RSD 65), for Tariff 2 – RSD 95 (up from RSD 85) and for Tariff 3 – RSD 146.
– Waiting per hour, for all three tariffs, is RSD 900 (up from RSD 750).
– The new prices are slightly lower than initially requested by taxi drivers.

According to the decision, the transport of the passengers’ personal luggage is calculated into the taxi transport prices.

Tariff 2 applies between 10 PM and 6 AM, on state holidays and on Sundays.

Tariff 3 applies outside the marked city area points, namely:

– On Zrenjaninski Put, intersection with the Borca-Greda road;
– On the road to Ovca at the “Putnik” restaurant;
– On the road to Crvenka at the canal bridge;
– On Pancevacki Put at the Agricultural School, including the Branko Momirov settlement;
– On Slanacki Put at the Lesce Cemetery.
