Final Condition for Connecting TENT with Central Heating in Belgrade Fulfilled – Everything Ready for Construction of Heating Pipeline Obrenovac-Belgrade

The members of the City Parliament of Belgrade adopted, at yesterday’s session, the Decision on approving the Draft Agreement on the regulation of the mutual obligations related to the agreement on the loan for the project of the construction of the Obrenovac-New Belgrade heating pipeline.

The deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic, said that the final decision was thereby being made which would enable the connecting of TENT with the central heating system in Belgrade, whereby the consumption and purchase of gas would be reduced by a third, and consequently also the use of heating energy from the blocks for Belgrade, Beoinfo reports.

– Through this heating pipeline, we will be able to use the heating energy for the heating of New Belgrade and Zemun. We have a similar project here in Vinca, where the facility for the production of heating and electrical energy will start working in July, which means that all the waste will be destroyed there and be used to create energy for Belgrade. In essence, more than a third of Belgrade will be heated with energy produced that way. Obrenovac will not lose anything that way. Nearly 90% will be covered by the heating system. We are hereby solving a big problem and with today’s decision, we are enabling the Government of Serbia to sign the final document. As the City, we have carried out the expropriation and prepared everything for the beginning of the construction of the heating pipeline – Vesic said.
