Export of Hemofarm reached amount of €63m

Hemofarm Concern confirmed its leading position in domestic pharmaceutical industry with its operations in 2005. It is also the biggest exporter of medicines in Serbia. This year, Hemofarm produced 170m packs of medicines, which is 16.3% more than in 2004. Also, this-year export reached amount of €63m and it exceeded the last-year export by 43.6%. The biggest market for Hemofarm is Russia where it had the new factory built in Obninsk and it became the local drug manufacturer. The prices of medicines are still 33% lower than the prices of medicines in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
Hemofarm will invest its efforts in the following period in obtaining of the only missing certificate - FDA, which will enable further internationalization of operations and appearance on new markets. The aim is that 50% of total production of this pharmaceutical company be sold on the local market, whereas the other half will be intended for export.
