Free Vaccine Against Human Papillomavirus from April

The vaccine against the human papillomavirus (HPV), at the cost of the state, will be available to citizens of Serbia from April, stated the director of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), Sanja Radojevic Skodric.

According to the NHIF, this is the latest 9-valent vaccine.

The decision of Serbia to offer the HPV vaccine at the cost of the state was welcomed by the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

– Thank you, Serbia, for making this important decision and investment to protect girls from cervical cancer. Vaccination against HPV can bring us closer to eliminating this preventable disease – Ghebreyesus tweeted.
