Media giants in SCG

Three biggest European publishing companies Gruner+Jahr, Sanoma magazines international and Styria have signed contract on partnership for publishing of several periodical magazines and daily newspapers in Adriatic region, i.e. Serbia and Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia. This Joint Venture whose plan is to start the activities in Spring 2006 will operated under unique name Adria magazines holding (AMH). It will employ 275 workers. AMH will have local compnies in Zagreb, Belgrade and Ljubljana.
Let us remind that the publishing company Sanoma magazines exists on the territory of SCG for one year already and it publishes best-selling world magazine Elle and weekly magazine Story. As fas as company Gruner+Jahr is concerned, it took over publications from publishing company Burda in SCG . Finally, Styria is famous by the fact that it publishes Večernji list, which is the best-selling daily newspaper in Croatia.
