The foreign exchange inflow from tourism in Serbia in the first ten months of 2021 amounts to EUR 1.275 billion, announced the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, Tatjana Matic.

Matic said that, according to the report of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), the foreign exchange inflow from tourism was on the rise in the first ten months of 2021, by 49% compared to the January-October 2020 period.

– These data show that tourism in Serbia is recovering very quickly and efficiently from the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and that Serbia is recognized as a unique and authentic tourism destination, equally attractive to local and foreign tourists – Matic said.

The minister added that those were very stimulating results, which show that Serbia is becoming an increasingly attractive destination in the world and that the country’s tourism-hospitality sector creates the image of its local tourism products in a unique way.
