On January 5, the City of Belgrade will open the tender for the construction of two underground garages, announced the deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic. As reported by Beoinfo, one garage will be located in Skerliceva Street, near the National Library, whereas the other will be located near the “Pinki” Hall in Zemun.

– The garage in Skerliceva Street will have 350 parking spaces and be very important, because it will partly “cover” health institutions, which are across the street, as well as the Church of Saint Sava and a large number of residential buildings and restaurants. The garage in Zemun, at the plaza in front of the “Pinki” Hall, will have 160 parking spaces, and a high school and an elementary school, as well as this sports center, are nearby. For the first time since 2005, when the garage in front of the City Assembly was built, Belgrade will enter one such project – Vesic said.

The plan is for more underground garages to be made in Belgrade, Vesic said.

– Among them are the underground garage in Vlajkoviceva Street and then also in Fruskogorska Street – Vesic pointed out.
