At the end of March 2005 in Belgrade, decision to be made on oil pipeline Konstanza-Trieste construction lines


Assistant to Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Slobodan Sokolović, announced that interregnum committee for project for construction of oil pipeline from the Black Sea port Konstanza to Trieste would be in session at the end of March 2005 in Belgrade. The session in Belgrade will be the key session because it is expected that the decisions will be made on establishment of operative company, which would be followed by the commencement of the phase of activities directed to start of construction of oil pipeline. The Belgrade session will also include consideration of new line of Konstanza-Trieste oil pipeline, going through Pančevo, Novi Sad, Slavonski Brod and Slovenia to Trieste, as well as its connection to Italian oil pipelines that supply German and Austrian refineries. Projected length of the oil pipeline is 1,360 km, whereas projected annual capacity is about 112 million tons of oil.
