Starting May 15, Jat airways flies to New York

Commercial Director of "Jat Airways", Milutin Popović, announced today that, starting May 15, 2006, national airliner should introduce regular flights to USA and Canada.

Jat plans to starts to fly to New York on May 15 and to Toronto on June 1. There will be three flights a week to New York and two flights a week to Toronto.

According to his words, the contract on leasing procurement of airplane "boing 767-200" with 230 seats for transoceanic flights should be signed very soon with the American companies.

Popović added that the fleet of “Jar Airways” would be rehabilitated in April when two smaller airplanes with 70 seats each should be rented and included in the daily transportation on the destinations in euro-mediterranean countries.
