Zijin Gets Permit for Test Run of New Flotation in Majdanpek – Expansion of Mining Capacities Planned Too

The company Serbia Zijin Copper has obtained a permit from the Ministry of Mining and Energy for the test run of the new flotation in Majdanpek, with a capacity of 40,000 tons of ore a day, the company announced.

The construction of the new facility for the processing of mineral resources in Majdanpek was completed last month and is a key project of the parent company, Zijin announced.

This Chinese company plans to invest USD 439 million in the project of technical reconstruction and expansion of mining capacities in Majdanpek, and the annual production in Majdanpek is expected to reach 13.2 million tons of ore upon the completion of the project.
