Another regional chain in making, Agrokor+Delta+.... ?

Croatian Agrokor is preparing its second campaign for entrance to Serbian market. After privatization of Frikom, this time, Ivica Todorić, owner of Agrokor, decided to have the first Konzum's megamarket built on the bought building lot in Block 70 in Novi Beograd, in the vicinity of Mercedes. Konzum is trade company that is operating within this concern. Agrokor became owner of Belgrade-based company Idea and it seriously thinks about expansion throughout Serbia.

The news that comes from Croatia may be even more important. It says that all these aforementioned actions taken by Agrokor are only screen behind which is hidden that businessmen from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Hungary, with maybe another 2-3 countries, have already joined partnership. Croatian newspaper "Dnevnik" says that appearance of Agrokor in Serbia is created through the agreement with the major Serbian businessmen and that it is a part of the wider regional strategy. At the same time, Agrokor explains that the intense negotiations are between the businessmen from several countries of the region are really underway, as well as that the joint appearance before customers and suppliers from this countries is being prepared. Croats claim that Delta holding is included in this project.
