Training center for quick reacting in traffic accidents opened in Ruma

Speaking at the opening of the center, Dacic explained that, owing to state-of-the-art equipment and adoption of European procedures of training and acting, Serbian citizens, tourists and passengers on the Serbian roads would be able to count on quick and appropriate response in case of accident.
The aim of setting up this regional center for training units for emergency response in traffic accidents is the improvement of skills of fire and rescue squads in saving those injured, Dacic pointed out.
He reminded that the improvement of specialist training of firefighting and rescue teams was one of crucial measures in the reorganization of the Sector for emergency situations and in the efforts the Ministry of the Interior was taking to establish an integrated system of protection and rescue in emergency situations.
According to his words, the new organization of that sector also requires a new method of training for the members of fire and rescue units, of which task is to professionally and successfully respond to all emerging demands in order to protect lives and health of citizens.
- It is expected that the Center will be referential in its work and functioning for the training of units for quick response in technical traffic interventions, with the tendency of development of teaching and technical capacities for organization of specialist courses for the region of southeast Europe - Dacic emphasized.
The Center is equipped thanks to the donations of 18 companies whose representatives received thank-you notes from Assistant Minister of Interior and Head of Sector for Emergency Situations Predrag Maric.
Dacic and Maric also attended the demonstration exercise of the members of the Sector for Emergency Situations, which was held in the location of the Fire Center in Ruma, the seat of the newly opened center.
