Vinyl Week at Parobrod

The Cultural Center “UK Parobrod”, in cooperation with the Cultural Center “Karavansaraj”, is organizing the Vinyl Week from November 8 to 15.

For a week, the visitors will be able to view an exhibition of record players, attend four chamber music performances, attend an aural presentation of quality devices, visit a vinyl record market and talk to producers.

Entry is free for all events.

– Let’s dive into the miraculous world of analogue sound and analogue playback! The sound doesn’t come from the zeros and ones of a digital recording, the sound comes from the vibrations of the stylus inside the grooves of a vinyl record! Through a technique that is over seventy years old, this delicate vibration is amplified and transferred to speakers with paper membranes – the organizers say.
