Novi Sad-based chemical industry HINS has signed export arrangement worth €1.6m with corporation “Limpak” in Great Britain. The realization of this arrangement will start after New Year’s holidays.
The arrangement is about export of special packaging made of expanded polystyrene, which is intended for food packing.
The amount of the investment in new unit and purchase of modern machine for production of this kind of packaging is about €1.5m and it is believed, mainly thanks to the arrangement with the British, that the investment will pay off very soon.
It is interesting, however, that our country annually spends over €4m on import of such and similar packaging. Therefore, this investment is very useful for us, because, when the unit “Emanit” in HINS starts to work at full capacity next year, all reasons for spending of money on procurement of food packaging abroad will disappear.
By the way, the plan is that the annual production in this unit amounts to at least 100m pcs of this packaging and that, in the future, HINS exports products to Great Britain, as well as to some other EU countries.
