Winter tires mandatory from May 2011

- It has been decided in the Ministry of Infrastructure that the commencement of application of the Regulations on mandatory use of winter tires be postponed until May 1st, 2011 - the Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia (RTS) announced.

The new Regulations on technical requirements for vehicles has come into force and it defines the rules the drivers must stick to when it comes to norms and equipment for automobiles.

The Regulations also include the classification of motor and auxiliary vehicles, the requirements that must be met by vehicles on road when it comes to dimensions, instruments, fits, equipment and technical norms.

The owning and use of mandatory winter equipment are excluded from these Regulations prior to May 1st, 2011.
