Director general of "Kondiva", Slađan Stojanović, announced that that factory of confectioneries would start production of chocolate products in new factory in spring 2006. For the time being, these chocolate products are imported from Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The value of the investment in new production unit is €2.5m and the factory of chocolate products will be built on the location near to the factory of candies and caramels.
According to the words of Stojanović, the equipment has already been ordered from renowned Italian manufacturers and the installation of machines will start in January 2006.
The plan is that about 3,000 tons of chocolate products worth about €12m be produced in that factory on annual basis, in two shifts.
Vranje-based company "Simpo", which is the owner of "Kondiva", points out that its strategy of investment in production of confectioneries quickly proved to be bull’s-eye, which is best confirmed by operations of that “sweet factory” in village Žbevac near Bujanovac.
"Kondiva" constantly expands production scope. The factory produced more candies this month than in the period from January to May 2005.
