Construction of Solar Power Plant in Podvelezje to Begin in 2023 – Investment Worth BAM 53 Million

In the location of Podvelezje, Elektroprivreda BiH plans to build a solar power plant, and, as they said for Klix, the estimated installed power will be 36 MW, and the power plant will be located in the space of the existing concession area of the Podvelezje 1 Wind Farm.

– The intention is to make use, to a considerable extent, of the existing infrastructure which was built for the purposes of the wind farm. Activities toward the solving of the spatial-planning documentation and other requirements for the signing of a concession agreement are in progress. Depending on the financing model and the implemented procurement procedure, the plan is for the construction to start in 2023 and for the power plant to be put into operation in 2024 – Elektroprivreda BiH pointed out for Klix.

The estimated value of the investment is BAM 53 million. The investor is the PE Elektroprivreda BiH, and when it comes to loans, talks with the German KfW bank are ongoing.

– If that turned out to be a quicker way, the PE Elektroprivreda BiH would be ready to finance the project with its own funds. The expected annual production is 66,000 MWh – they said.
