Agreements on construction of a factory of insulation materials and a factory of substances for the construction industry, worth total of EUR 2.7m, were signed today in Sremska Mitrovica. Once they are finished, total of 90 people will get jobs in them.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Mladjan Dinkic signed today an agreement with Austrian Iso-Tech on allotment of funds for direct investments, construction of the new factory of insulation materials, worth €1.2 million, where 50 people will get jobs.
Dinkic also attended the signing of the agreement between the representatives of German company MC-Bauchemie and Sremska Mitrovica Mayor Branislav Nedimovic, which will enable the construction of about €1.5 million worth of factory of chemical substances and additives for the construction industry and the employment of 40 workers.
The Ministry of Economy announced that it had backed Iso-Tech's investment through the Programme for allotment of non-refundable means for investment promotion with €3,000 for each newly created job.
Dinkic said that the new factory would be finished in November and that the production would commence already in early 2011.
- We want to show that we help the construction of new factories in each town in Serbia. We grant incentives for the employment of people in both Vojvodina and central Serbia - said Dinkic and added that the Government would keep supporting the construction of new factories.
He said that the time of the difficult economic crisis was behind Serbia, but that there should be no "relaxing".
He pointed out that three German investors had arrived in Vojvodina only during the previous month and added that, in addition to new jobs, Serbia would also have larger foreign currency income from the export.
Tow domestic building companies from Banovci and Novi Sad are working on the construction of the new factory of Iso-Tech. Once the production commences, the plan is that about €2.9 million worth of insulation materials be produced in that factory every year, most of which would be exported.
German Bauchemie is also famous in Serbia for its participation in the construction of Djerdap hydroelectric power plant. The company exists since 1961 and it is engaged in the production of sophisticated products and system solutions that are used by architects and building companies all around the world.
