The signing of this document is one of the steps toward Serbia’s joining the International Investment Bank, one of the leading and best rated international finance institutions, which consists of nine countries from Europe and Asia, the Government of Serbia announced.
Also, this is the only multilateral development bank based in Central and Eastern Europe. Moody’s rates this bank A3 with a stable outlook, S&P rates it A– with a stable outlook, Fitch rates it A– with a stable outlook, whereas the Russian ACRA rates it A with a stable outlook.
This bank specializes in medium-term and long-term project financing, which aims to support the economic development of the member states and a positive social, economic and environmental impact.
– The membership in this eminent organization is another proof of the desire of our international partners and friends for Serbia to be part of this international finance club and, thereby, not just stimulate its own economic development, but to also be part of the global financial flows and decision-making – said the minister.
