In Serbia in Third Quarter 62,617 More Employees Than in Same Period Last Year

In the third quarter of 2021 the total number of employed amounted to 2,287,459 persons. Of the total number, 1,823,955 persons were employed with legal entities, 403,293 were entrepreneurs and their employees and persons individually running businesses, and 60,211 persons are registered individual agricultural producers (farmers).

As announced on the website of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, when related to the third quarter of 2020, the total number of employed increased by 62,617 persons, i.e. by 2.8%; namely, the number of employed with legal entities increased by 55,928 persons, i.e. by 3.2%, the number of entrepreneurs and their employees and persons individually running business increased by 12,016 persons, i.e. by 3.1%, and the number of registered individual agricultural producers (farmers) decreased by 5,327 persons, i.e. by 8.1%.

When related to the previous quarter, the total number of employed increased by 17,065 persons, i.e. by 0.8%; namely, the number of employed with legal entities increased by 10,193 persons, i.e. by 0.6%, the number of entrepreneurs and their employees and persons individually running business increased by 8,271 persons, i.e. by 2.1%, while the number of registered individual agricultural producers (farmers) decreased by 1,399 persons, i.e. by 2.3%.
