Lira Mix opened new line for fodder and premix production

New fodder and premix production unit Lira Mix was opened yesterday in Irig. The owner of the Irig-based unit is Dimitrije Savic who has the namesake fodder factory in Bijeljina, the Republic of Srpska. According to him, he invested EUR 0.5m in the renovation of Irig's old mill and expects cattle breeders to have a chance to make sure of the top quality of domestic products made by Lira Mix.
Lira Mix produces quality food for animals. The product portfolio includes complete and supplemental mixes, premixes for all types of animals, ready-made food, bio-stimulators and vitamin additives. All these products are in accordance with the latest standards and information on nutritional needs of animals.
Through the Provincial Secretariat for Labor, Employment and Gender Equality, the Government of Vojvodina has provided jobs at this unit for 25 people. The plan is that another 15 people get jobs at this fodder factory in Irig by the end of the year.
Irig Mayor Vladimir Petrovic confirmed the significance of that project for the municipality of Irig, primarily because of recommencement of the production at that fodder factory, as a part of former collective farm.
- This is another proof that the municipality of Irig is coming out of the crisis, that we create ideal conditions for attracting new investors, both foreign and domestic ones. After a long series of years when Irig was a "black hole" on the map of Serbia when it comes to economic activities, we have opened significant fruit growing units over the last year and half, including the most modern greenhouse in the Balkans - said Petrovic.
