After the government’s session, Mali said that the 2021 budget deficit would therefore amount to 4.9% of the GDP, instead of the planned 6.9%.
– There are two major reasons for adopting a budget rebalance. The first are capital projects, because the rebalance from April envisaged 7.2% of the GDP for capital investments, whereas the new rebalance raises it to 7.8%, so RSD 478 billion from the budget alone will be invested in our economy and big infrastructure projects – Mali said.
The other reason is to continue providing aid to the citizens and working on raising their living standard, Mali added.
– In the rebalance, we have secured enough money to repay the additional EUR 20 of aid that we promised to the citizens for December – Mali said.
The minister of finance of Serbia pointed out that the share of the public debt in 2021 will amount to 58.2% of the GDP.
