German E.F.M. Fabrikation, owned by Siegfried Waldemar, has bought 6,500 square meters of building land in new industrial zone Jugoistok in Zrenjanin where it plans to have a rubber plant built and employ 80 people, it was announced on the occasion of yesterday's signing of the agreement in the city hall.
According to the words of the German investor, this investment is a logical result of a years-long collaboration with companies in Zrenjanin, dating back to the 1980's.
In addition to the German manufacturers, an agreement with the representatives of local self-government in Zrenjanin and public company Directorate for City Development was also signed by the management of Luksol - Farmacija. This domestic company has bought 9,300 square meters of building land on which it plans to have a unit for production of penicillin preparations built.
- This company would first employ 50 workers - said CEO Milana Zlokas and explained that that company had nothing to do with Zrenjanin-based chemical industry Luksol. Zrenjanin Mayor Mileta Mihajlov said it was just the beginning for the new industrial zone, which was opened this summer by President Boris Tadic.
