Galenika's products again in Russian market

- After several years of break, pharmaceutical company Galenika has started delivering its products to partners in Russia again - people at that factory announced today (September 2, 2010).
- The value of Galenika's projected export to Russia in 2010 is about 3.5 million dollars, and that export is expected to grow by 60% in 2011 - said Zarko Ilic, the Director of Galenika's Moscow-based Office.
Galenika will export a palette of 15 products to the market of Russia this year, while twice as big number of registered preparations is expected to be exported in 2011.
Serbian drugs factory and Russian pharmaceutical company Altai Vitamini are going to open a packaging unit for pharmaceutical products in Bijsk, in southwest Siberia .
According to the Letter of Intent, which was signed on August 28 between Galenika Director General Nenad Ognjenovic and Altai Vitamini Director General Jurij Koseljev, the two companies also agreed on organization of a distribution network for Galenika's products, not only in the region of Altai, but also in the neighboring regions of Russian Federation and neighboring countries of central Asia, as well as on the sale of the products of Altai Vitamini in Serbia.
For the sake of return to the markets of Russia and CIS, Galenika plans construction of a factory in the city of Obninsk, about 80 km away from Moscow, in the region of Kalush.
