Applications for the biggest regional employer branding project "Best Employer Brand Awards Adria 2021"

Employer branding is a model of different activities which organizations and companies have been applying with the aim of building a corporate image and strengthening the segment of attracting and retaining employees. It can also be said that employer branding is a model by which companies manage various business segments in order to stand out as an attractive place to work and prove to be a desirable employer, both for their current employees and future ones.

This year we are looking for the best activities at the regional level

Companies throughout our region have been positioning as attractive employers in the past few years. CareerCentar recognized the value of such activities and in 2019 launched Best Employer Brand Awards project. The project is being held for the third year, but this year for the first time in regional competition.

– With this project we want to increase the understanding and importance of the employer brand management because this area includes efforts and activities aimed at creating better jobs and better companies - companies where employees will want to work and stay working. Today, good employer branding is the main source of competitiveness in the labor market, and our role is to highlight such successful individuals and companies who will inspire other employers, by showing good practices and examples. We also aim to work with companies in order to develop knowledge and talents in the field of employer brand management, and this award will prove that we are doing it with the right purpose – to increase employee satisfaction and to successfully achieve business goals. The companies themselves led us to develop this project for other markets as well, so this year the project will be launched also at the regional level – said Vladimir Benić, founder of Best Employer Brand Awards.

Companies from 8 countries can submit applications for this regional competition: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Hungary, Kosovo*, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia. The main prize is the Grand Prix Adria, however the Grand Prix for each country will also be awarded.

Announcement of the first regional employer brand conference

Another novelty this year is the Employer Branding Connect conference which will be held on December 3, 2021. Speakers at the conference will be prominent experts in the field of employer brand management, such as James Ellis from the United States, Charu Malhotra from England with experience from Unilever and Ferrero, Claudia Tattanelli who spent many years as CEO of Universum for USA and Asia, Tina Miličić from Atlantic Grupa as the winner of Best employer brand manager in 2020 and Faye Woodhead, who was employer branding director at Deutsche Bank for many years. This is also an opportunity to connect with regional experts in this field, and all conference attendees can also stay at the awards ceremony to be held the same day in the evening.

Applications are open - announcement of the winners takes place in December

In addition to the Grand Prix for each country and the People's Voice Award, additional 20 awards will be awarded to the best companies in the region. The awards are divided according to the type of campaign / activity, the size of the company and the sector or business industry. Likewise, the best regional employer brand team and employer brand manager will be awarded. All submitted applications will be discussed by an international jury consisting of respected experts, consultants and professors in the field of human resources and strategic employer brand management of companies from across the region.

Applications are open until October 1, 2021. Companies can send applications for several employer brand projects and activities in different categories, which also increases their chances of winning the Grand Prix award.

The project is organized by the leading regional online testing platform CareerCentar, the media portal TalentBrief with the media sponsorship of NovaTV and the Dnevnik.hr portal and eKapija.
