A new model of fiscalization is being introduced in Serbia - the deadline for businessmen is April 30, 2022

The Ministry of Finance has launched a campaign called "Be eFiscalized", whose slogan is "Clean bill means lasting love", and through which the public will be informed about the new model of fiscalization in the Republic of Serbia, which will bring numerous benefits to the economy and and the whole country, the Ministry claims.

The new fiscalization model implies the use of an electronic fiscal device, through which the taxpayer will issue a fiscal invoice with a QR code at the time of retail trade, including the received advance for future retail trade. In addition to the cash register, the electronic fiscal device can also be a computer, tablet, mobile phone. Also, the QR code on each invoice means that the buyers of products, i.e. users of services, can check whether the invoice was issued in accordance with the law - the announcement published on the official website of the Ministry of Finance states.

The transition period will begin on November 1, 2021, and afterwards the taxpayers will be able to gradually move to a new model of fiscalization. If one sales facility enters the transition period, it is mandatory that all fiscal devices in that facility be in the same status. The deadline for the complete transition to the new fiscalization model will be extended so that the fiscal taxpayers will be obliged to completely switch to the new model by April 30, 2022.

The state will cover the necessary costs of the transition to the new model through subsidies to fiscalizers. Taxpayers will directly receive the funds needed to transit to a new fiscalization model.

Defiscalization of old fiscal devices will not be necessary, but will be performed automatically by connecting new fiscal devices to the Tax Administration's server and putting the old devices out of operation.

The new fiscalization model will result in a reduction in taxpayers' operating costs, eliminate unnecessary administration, and thus create a better business environment. Costs of expenditures for the GPRS data transmission of daily reports will be reduced, as well as costs of printing control tapes for fiscal accounts, storing the control tapes, mandatory annual service of fiscal devices, fiscalization / defiscalization procedure of the devices, etc. Also, the new fiscalization model will contribute to the reduction of the gray economy and will reduce the possibility of abuse, which means more money in the budget for the construction of highways, hospitals, schools, kindergartens.
