Czech-based "Moravia energo" invests €70m in construction of steam power plant in Zaječar

Recently, the Contract on exclusive right to construction of steam power plant – heating plant was signed by Municipality of Zaječar and Czech-based company “Moravia energo“ in Czech Republic. One of the biggest companies in Czech Republic will invest €70m in this project. The plan is that the justification study worth €150,000 be completed prior to June 2006, which will be financed by the Government of Slovakia. It is assumed that the works will last one year. The construction will be realized according to the latest technology and the highest European standards. The boilers will be produced in Czech-based factory “Lurgi SES“. The delivery of heating energy should start in 2008. More than 60% of the population of Zaječar will be connected to the heating network after its expansion. The citizens will get cheaper heating and new jobs. Only 50 people will be employed in the steam power plant, whereas bigger number of people will be hired for work in the mines.
