February 2005, Japanese produced toothpaste that cures caries

Japanese scientists produced new synthetic toothpaste that can fix caries in early phase. This toothpaste can fix enamel without previous removal of damaged surface. It also prevent appearance of new caries. The toothpaste works through uniting with natural enamel, but, due to high content of hydrogen peroxide, when brought in touch with gums, it could cause its inflammation, experts warn.
